2023: A Look Ahead
Happy New Year Partners!
As we look forward to 2023, we know that many things have changed over the past year, and will most likely continue to change. We also know that many things will be different for us here at OneVillage Partners. We will be working and partnering with new communities in the Kenema district, showcasing our presence in Freetown and continue to strengthen our team. We will be increasing awareness and advocacy of our Movement for Community Led Sierra Leone Chapter, and continue pursing the narrative of partnership in Sierra Leone.
We are also aware of the many challenges our partners have faced over the last few years. The impact of COVID-19, rapid inflation and multi-dimensional poverty is not going away anytime soon. However, when we look back on how far our partners and communities have come, their resilience, what they have accomplished together and learned, it is impossible not to be hopeful about our collective vision to enhance wellbeing across Sierra Leone. We also believe that the best part of looking back at the year, is that it shows us what we have accomplished and helps us as a team enter the new year with renewed committement to professional and personal growth.
OneVillage Partners’ team is excited to continue partnering with you this year. We are committed to our strategic expansion initiative to:
Continue to adapt and implement our current programs to best accommodate the specific needs and interests of new community and regional partners
Partner with civil society groups and gender advocates to collaborate on regional development
Connect with community change agents to create a national network of engaged volunteer-leaders
Increase our advocacy and thought leadership work at the national level
We are also committed to sharing more stories of our partner communities and their families with you. Thank you for your support and your partnership and we look forward to working together with our community partners and you in 2023.
