Happy New Year - Our 2024 Goals
2023 was a significant year for OneVillage Partners, as we focused on implementing our Strategic Initiative and expanding our reach into eleven new communities.
With our community-led approach, we will further establish our mission to invest in people and partnerships across Sierra Leone in 2024.
Community Action Program
Our programs team continues to expand and reach the most rural communities. We have listened to the needs of our community partners, and we are determined to reach more communities than ever this year. Our goals include:
Partnering with six communities in the Kenema districts, with varying focuses from water and sanitation, health, community development, women’s empowerment, and more. We are excited to see more structures built and families impacted.
Implementing Community Action projects in 4 communities in Daru hub region. We will partner with and support more communities in this region and maintain our community partnerships.
Improving our external partnership by having our Ward Councilor meetings, which will empower community leaders to continue maintain their projects and enhancing the community led model.
NOW
2024 is an exciting time for our women in the Nurturing Opportunities for Women program! For the NOW phase 1 program, our plans include:
Partnering with over 480 women who will begin their journey to financial empowerment.
Training over 500 women in 25 communities in modern agricultural implementation to ensure they can increase their income for 2024.
Thought Leadership
We will further expand our reach into thought leadership by partnering with local and international nonprofits on exciting trends and news within the nonprofit and aid sector.
We will continue the focus on training our staff (internally and externally) throughout 2024 to build capacity and enhance leadership sills among staff
2024 will see us hit the ground running in our work to amplify the voices of Sierra Leoneans and lead transformational change. These goals are ambitious but show our commitment to ending multidimensional poverty in Sierra Leone through partnership. Only together, can we bring transformational change.
