A New Chapter: One Village Partners Joins Forces with Africa Uplifted

Africa Uplifted and One Village Partners, two organizations working to improve lives in Sierra Leone, are coming together to increase our impact and enhance our capacity to better serve the people of Sierra Leone and the communities we are operating in.

With shared missions to enhance collective well being across Sierra Leone, both organizations are enthusiastic that we can impact even more lives working together than we could individually.  For One Village Partners, our strategic goals include expanding across the country through partnership.  Combining our work will allow us to move into a new district and expand our reach outside of our core operating area in Kailahun and Kenema Districts.  For Africa Uplifted, we are excited to leverage One Village Partners’ community-led model for sustainable and long-term programming, while continuing to improve lives in Manonkoh, Bombali District.

Africa Uplifted and One Village Partners are coming together to build upon our shared commitment to supporting communities across Sierra Leone. Recognizing that sustainable change is most powerful when driven by those closest to the challenges and solutions, this partnership reflects our dedication to community-led development that respects the expertise, dignity, and agency of the people we serve.

Since 2009, Africa Uplifted has provided essential resources in health, education, and infrastructure, which have met critical needs in Bombali, Northern Sierra Leone. One Village Partners has been operating in Sierra Leone since 2006 in Kenema and Kailahun, Eastern Sierra Leone. One Village Partners is committed to enhancing collective well-being in rural communities through impactful programs in health, education, and agriculture. In 2025, One Village Partners will also be expanding to Kono District, Eastern Sierra Leone as part of its country-wide expansion plan.

In coming together as One Village Partners, an organization that puts communities at the forefront of development activities, we will align these efforts to ensure that all initiatives reflect the priorities and aspirations of local leaders. By combining our resources and experiences, we will continue to support communities in developing solutions rooted in their own vision and agency.

As Africa Uplifted and One Village Partners embark on this new chapter, we remain committed to a future where Sierra Leonean leaders and communities shape the path forward with dignity and agency.
